A Gift for You

I love blown glass. Perhaps one day I will take a class and learn how to do it myself. I had several very beautiful wine glasses that were hand blown and one of a kind--I will replace them one day. When I was with Alicia and we went to the Cape regularly, I used to buy much blown glass (including these glasses) at this great little store, the same place where I found many a necklace and alpaca wool--for they raised them themselves.

Anyway, my mother has given me a new glass ball every year for Christmas for some time. And I bought a bunch myself in my travels. I have hung the glass balls from my dining room ceiling and there is where I have my collection. Here are a few shots:

And these two need to be hung still:

Jose and Gino bought me this in Valparaiso, my favorite place on earth. They know how much I love glass. Please disregard the dirtiness of my window.

So, now the point. I dated someone this fall who made me these, and I do not want to hang them. They really are beautiful. The first of yous who would enjoy them, let me know and I will mail them right along to you--as long as you live in the U.S. Nothing would make me happier than knowing someone is enjoying them, I just can't.
