So, I am ready to sew together my discernment squares. They are all so different--it is kind of remarkable. I really love this project. The squares are not all the same size, which is just the reality of it--so I am trying to decide if I should try and "fix" some of them or if they just need to find a way to fit together. I also have to decide on a color for the border. Below is a picture without a flash and then with a flash. You can go back to each month to check them out closer up.

first of all, GORGEOUS squares. and hooray for a year of discernment.
ReplyDeletei hope to get to read the accompanying reflection
second of al, do you need to put them together in the order that you made them? my eye would like to see the orange, red, etc. square in the middle row, far right, swapped with the green and white two to its left. I'd have to see it to know if that works, BUT if it did, but you'd have the rich orangey squares that are most eye catching, in my opinion, together in the center. and you'd have more cool colors around the edges. you could then border in one of the warm colors as a contrast or in one of the dominant colors in the outer ring, I'm thinking a blue or purple. I've never done this before. So take my advice for what its worth. Not so much!
Beautiful, though, MIeke. You make me wish I were still knitting. Maybe this break. Maybe.
Wow, all the squares are lovely! And it's an interesting contrast of colors light and dark...As I suspect most discerning has elements of.
ReplyDeleteAnd not trying to sound goofy, I hope the border represents your heart...the ties that bind.
